UWI Milner Hall Dormitory Block

Construction of Dormitory Building 2,055 square metres three (3) stories reinforced concrete Block building, The University of the West Indies.

This Contract comprised the demolition of an existing Dormitory Block and construction of a four storey modern dormitory at the same location. The new dormitory has concierge facilities on the ground floor level and separate accommodation for Male and Female Residents throughout. Also separate are facilities for laundry, washrooms but common kitchen and dining rooms at every floor level with a central fire escape stairway. Service facilities include plumbing, electrics, elevators, air-conditioning, security and fire detection / sprinkler system, communication services and an electrical standby generator for common areas. The bulk of the walls was constructed as fair-faced concrete block work and finished in varying paint colors to blend in and to accentuate within its backdrop.
