The Republic Bank Data Centre is one of our flagship projects being the first to be built in the Caribbean. The site is located at Lot 1-6, Zone 6, TMV Development at Trincity. The Data Centre is a fully dedicated one, designed to a Tier 3 Level – Fully mechanized and synchronized with Integrated Building Management System this data centre was designed by BRUNSPAK of USA to accommodate IBM standards and equipment.The works included substructure, concrete frame, concrete and blockwalls, shop fronts, external and internal doors, concrete floor and raised access floor, precast prestressed concrete roof slabs with a bituminous composite roof covering, standing seam metal roof canopies with a structural steel frame, rain water installation and steps, with insulated metal panel cladding, plaster and paint to the external walls.
The services included a multiplicity of service ducts below the ground floor slab with various sizes of cables running through them for electrical, plumbing and air-conditioning installations. There were floor, wall and ceiling finishings, painting, internal partitions, fittings and furniture. The external works comprised excavation and imported earth fill to required levels, retaining walls, concrete pavings, walkways, ramps, steps, incoming mains, surface and soil water drainage, water tank and equipment yard including plinths and steel supports for service pipes.
